Who am I?
I have been aproached several times in the past month and the craziest thing is people keep saying things like " So you are a photographer." Not a question as much as a statement.. And I guess there is a part of me that still wants to say..." Not really, I just like to take pictures." I guess that is my safetey net. If I don't say it then I get to hide from the pressure of being a " PHOTOGRAPHER" I suppose. Except I am. I am a photographer. Whether I am taking simple shots for a local event. Donating my time to those in ministry... My goal is to capture life, even if only for a second. I consider myself a "real" life photographer.. I love Phototshop don't get me wrong... but I like natural light and minimal editing when possible. Unless I am just experimenting and having fun...
And I guess I am odd, because I think everyone should be able to afford to have their pictures taken... I am not here to make a mint... just make a difference. Hearing a girl say " I fell pretty for the first time".... to helping a family who otherwise could not afford professional pictures... I am blessed to have been given a talent and I want to use it to make a difference.
Tonight I had the pleasure of capturing the 180 Teen center of Lodi CA. Evening In The Vineyard. What a great night dedicated to a great cause.
